Enlife Global Inc.’s President, Mr. Allan G. Almazar, is an experienced marketer in the Healthcare space in the Philippines and other markets in Asia. His most recent responsibility was as Country Manager of Hospira Philippines from 2006 to 2013.
Mr. Allan Almazar was primarily responsible for the revenue & margin growth of the Philippine affiliate and was tasked to develop long-range plans and formulate strategic initiatives to expand Hospira’s market presence.
A few of his Key Achievements
- Led Philippine operations to improve its market ranking from being 23rd at launch to 6th by 2013, based on the IMS PHPA 2Q 2013 MAT Market Audit, and to be consistently in the top 10 market drivers in the annual IMS Audit, by developing an aggressive product launch pipeline and focusing on strategic markets.
- Developed the Philippine business to be a strong market challenger or dominant player positions in both established or newly entered market segments/channels – Acute Care Specialty Pharma, Infusion Pumps & Devices, Needle-Less Systems.
- Drove the Philippine business to be the 2nd biggest affiliate, in terms of revenue for Hospira Asia/Greater China Region and #1 in margin contribution.
- Led the Philippine Team towards the achievement of key metrics for business operations:
- Consistently topped the Employee Engagement Survey across Hospira Asia-Pacific, as well as scoring above the provider’s universe index;
- Affiliate with the highest 5-year revenue & net income CAGR of all spun off entities (doubled the size of revenue in 3 years of operations and tripled this in 7 years); and
- Affiliate with most aggressive New Product Launch Cycles.
It was during his Country manager stint that he was appointed to a concurrent role to manage the medical devices franchise in South Asia from Sept 2007 to Sept 2010(until the company area restructure).
He was tasked to develop the Devices Go-To-Market strategy for the area. His area included Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, and India.
Prior to Hospira, he was running the fastest growing division of Abbott Philippines – The Hospital care division as its Marketing Director.

- Led the Division to an 18% 3-year top line sales compounded growth rate; Division revenue of PhP1B by end 2004.
- Drove all managed franchises to leadership positions – Medical Nutrition, Anesthetics, Cardio Inotropes.
- Consistently delivered bottom line plan commitments, through portfolio optimization and new product introductions.
- Achieved an industry high of PhP23.7MM sales force productivity.
His key Consumers brands included Medical Nutritional ENSURE, GLUCERNA and NEPRO.
